KCON is an annual convention that is a celebration of Korean culture and K-Pop. It originally started in 2012 in Southern California and has since then branched out to several countries. This year’s KCON LA takes place at the Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center from Aug. 14 to 16. There are three stages for this convention with the M Countdown Stage being held at the Arena and the X Stage and Artist Stage being held at the Convention Center. The M Countdown Stage is the main concert stage that is held in the evening and it is where the headliners perform. The X Stage is for showcasing more up-and-coming talent and the Artist Stage is a more intimate setting for performances.
The first day will have NCT 127 as the headliner and features Kickflip, SANTOS BRAVOS, TREASURE, &Team, from20 & HELLO GLOOM, KEYVITIPand ONE PACT. The second day will have ZEROBASEONE as the headliner and features ILLIT, izna, P1Harmony, Taeyong, Yeonjun and RESCENE. The final day of the convention will have TOMORROW X TOGETHER as the headliner and features ALLDAY PROJECT, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, JO1, MEOVVand So!YoON! Several of the artists and groups will be set to appear for multiple days.
KCON offers several different ticket options from VIP premium packages to one-day admissions. The prices of these tickets vary from $44 to about $660. The VIP tickets include the M Countdown Stage, Festival Ground access, soundcheck, red carpet admission and more. The cheapest tickets include Artist Stage admission and other Festival Ground content after 3 p.m. There are areas in the convention where attendees can explore, such as K-Story Zone where Korean dramas and films are showcased and K-Food Zone where a variety of Korean food is given out. Olive Young is KCON’s title sponsor and they will be showcasing popular Korean beauty products. People will be able to fill up tote bags with various top selling items. Many fans are excited to attend this year’s KCON convention.
