Hey Matador Class of 2026! You’re nearing the end of your senior year which means… it’s time to make your bucket list before you finish this chapter! Senior year feels exciting, stressful, and emotional all at once. One day everyone is counting down to graduation, and the next people are realizing high school is almost over for real. Since these are some of the last memories we’ll make together before everyone moves on to different paths, it’s important to enjoy the little moments while they last. Making a senior bucket list is the perfect way to make sure you actually experience everything before graduation day arrives.
One thing every senior should do is go to as many school events as possible. For seniors, we currently have our senior sunrise coming up so be sure to attend! Participating in the random spirit weeks becomes way more meaningful during senior year. Taking pictures and videos with friends is also a must because those memories will last long after graduation. Seniors should also try things outside their comfort zone, whether that means joining activities, talking to new people, or simply saying yes to more opportunities. Even spontaneous late night food runs after events or hanging out in parking lots talking with friends can become some of the best memories from high school.
Before the tassel turns, seniors should also take time to appreciate the people who made high school special. Signing yearbooks, thanking favorite teachers, and planning one last hangout with friends are all things that matter more than people realize at the time. Senior year goes by fast, and once graduation happens, life changes quickly. That’s why it’s important to live in the moment, make memories, and enjoy every last part of high school while it’s still here.
