I had the pleasure of watching this movie earlier this week and I absolutely loved it. One thing that stood out to me immediately was the coloring and appearance of the movie. It was shot digitally but it was transferred to film stock. This gave the movie a vintage-like appearance which directly contrasts the usual badly lit modern movies we see today. Apparently the movie was filmed without a single green screen shot which made the movie feel more real and impressive. The flashbacks gave a good sense of mystery and suspense as the film progressed. I think the soundtrack complemented the visuals well. While watching “Project Hail Mary,” I was reminded of the visuals of “Interstellar” and the story of “The Martian.” One drawback I can think about this movie is that it was a little long. This movie made me laugh and tear up, and overall it was a very pleasant experience to watch. I really enjoyed this film and recommend that you watch it too.
