On February 27, 2026, Bruno Mars released an album, The Romantic. It has been about four years since Mars released an album, since An Evening with Silk Sonic, being very successful. This album was his first solo collection in a decade. Throughout the years leading up to this album, he released a single “I Just Might” and has also released singles prior, featuring other artists, in 2024 and 2025. In The Romantic, there are nine tracks released by Atlantic Records, all very intimate and touching to the heart.

“God Was Showing Off” describes a breathtaking woman, as Bruno is in awe of the woman’s beauty. Throughout the song he describes her as an “earth angel” made by God.
“Why You Wanna Fight”
Instead of fighting, Bruno Mars suggests “wouldn’t you rather make love tonight?” Bruno Mars desperately wants to make amends with love as fighting will only get in the way.
“On My Soul”
Because love is so hard to find, Bruno Mars says that on his soul, he will “love you like you’ve never been loved before”. Bruno’s lyrics are convincing a girl to be loved by him and reciprocate those feelings.
“Something Serious”
Bruno sings “us together” is “something serious” proposing that he and “you” will make a powerful duo.
“Nothing Left”
This heartbreaking song Bruno sings describes him not wanting to let go, but “the fire don’t burn like it used to, girl.” In the song he knows that it is time to move on, but he is not willing to accept it.
