Roblox is an online game where players can play various games and create special environments for other users. To me, it has been one of the best experiences in my life, where I could spend my time fascinating, strategizing, and creating. Throughout my childhood, Roblox was the game that stuck with me and made some of the greatest memories of my life.
Do you ever wonder how Roblox is so successful? That is because it allows players to be a part of a community and uses teamwork to help each other in many different situations. I enjoy playing with my friends in horror games where we need to have each other’s backs. Some popular ones that I like are “The Mimic” and “Midnight Christmas.” It shocks me to see how people can create such unique games like “The Backrooms,” a horror game that is based on the first-person footage of accidentally falling through the floor into what is known as “The Backrooms” and roaming around never-ending mazes, but to be careful because you are not alone. In saying so, my admiration and collaboration properties reflect deeply from Roblox.
This game is also a dive through my childhood. Even though I rarely play Roblox nowadays, it used to be the only game I would ever play in late elementary school. I remember asking other students for their Roblox usernames and having them write it down just so I could add them later when I got home. It was fun playing games like Jailbreak, Work at a Pizza Place, Natural Disaster Survival, and Royale High. It gives me so much nostalgia when I look at how different the map of Royale High is today compared to the 5th grade. The sad part about playing these games is that it will never feel like the first time you played them. However, I am grateful for the moments I was able to make because I believe something that cannot be bought is our memories.
While everyone was stuck at home during quarantine, I made the most of it by playing Roblox with my friends. We used to call every single day and play Roblox together. I truly feel like I went through so many phases of my life throughout this time. I had a “Bloxburg” phase where I was able to build a world through my own eyes. I also played shooting games like “Arsenal” and “Da Hood.” I remember how users would get into dumb silly fights over a game, thinking back gives me a good laugh and feels like a fever dream. They say memories stay with you forever and I could confirm that. I even find myself wondering about where the people I used to play Roblox with are now and how they are doing.
In conclusion, Roblox is a virtual game that holds pieces of me and has been with me for a while now. Through strategizing, creativity, and curiosity Roblox has always been the core for these traits of mine.
