Tamales bring a sense of togetherness in Mexican culture as everyone is united with such a delicious dish which is why it is perfect for the holidays.

Pavlova – Australia (and New Zealand)
Pavlova is a popular holiday dessert in Australia, especially around Christmas time. It is made of a crisp meringue shell with a light, airy interior, topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits like strawberries, kiwis, and passionfruit. The meringue is typically made by whipping egg whites with sugar to form stiff peaks, and then baking it at a low temperature to make a crisp exterior. The contrast between the crunchy meringue and the soft, sweet whipped cream makes Pavlova a refreshing and delightful way to end a holiday meal.
