Beyonce Christmas halftime show took place at NRG Stadium. She is currently performing “Texas Hold ‘Em’” while dancing with other performers.
On Christmas day, the NFL scheduled a game between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens. The game was held at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Beyonce’s performance began with the song “16 carriages” while riding a white horse into the stadium. Then she performed her cover of the Beatles’ 1968 hit, “Blackbird”. However, to sing this song she harmonized with four other black artists: Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts and Brittney Spencer. Which was all pre-record and displayed on the big screen at the stadium where she sang “Ya Ya”. Afterwards, she nicely transitioned to the song “My House.” Then she was joined with Shaboozey to sing “Sweet Honey Buckiin” and “Riiverdance.” Once the camera view turned right to star the dancer,Post Malone joined Beyonce in singing “Levii’s Jeans.” After singing “Levii’s Jeans” she started singing her cover of “Jolene” while sitting in the back of a Lincoln. She ends her performance by performing the song “‘Texas Hold ‘Em’.”
There is some controversy about whether Beyonce is going to get fined by NFL because she made a gun gesture during her halftime show. The National Football League has banned the gun gesture, which results in a 15-yard penalty for any offending player. At the very end of her performance she makes a hand gesture that looks very similar to a gun and at the same time a banner reading “BANG” was released under the platform. Nevertheless, this is not the most popular topic on social media. In fact, the most popular topic on social media after the halftime performance was Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy. Many people mainly think she only performed while Beyonce sang “Texas Hold ‘Em’”. However if you were to look closely she was performing during the whole halftime show. On many social media platforms there are many videos about how amazing Blue Ivy did while performing. However, there is this one post showcasing a negative comment about her making a mistake during the performance which had many people raving about it and defending her. Overall instead of Beyonce getting the full attention on social media, it was her daughter who got to shine on many platforms.
